Pittaford Farm Camping cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss, caused by cancellation. The Greener Camping Club membership fee is not refundable.

Special Coronavirus Condition – added 18th March 2021. If, as a result of Government restrictions on campsites we are forced to cancel your holiday, we make a heartfelt request that rather than a refund, we instead hold your deposit as a credit against a later stay, valid for up to 18 months from your original holiday dates. If you postpone until next year your Greener Camping Club membership will be carried over to the end 2022.
As a small business, we are wholly dependent on your custom for our survival. We realise these are difficult times for all, but your support will help us get through this and continue to make Pittaford Farm a wonderful place to stay.

4. Children and Adults Safety

There are many opportunities for play and adventure in our camping area and our aim is for children and adults to have a truly enriching experience of space and freedom. However, because Pittaford Farm is a working farm, albeit a small one, there are contingent risks to be aware of. There are horses on site; please do not feed them and please keep a distance when they are being walked along the bridal path. With all animals, sensible respectful behaviour is required at all times. Please do not access the farmyard or any machinery and take care near any tractor or machine. We allow campfires, so again, make sure children are supervised around all fires. These risks should be self-evident – but if you are not clear, please ask! Pittaford Farm Camping accepts no responsibility for injury incurred on site. A responsible adult must supervise children at all times.

5. Cars and Campervans

The speed limit while on the site is 5 mph. Cars must be parked in the designated parking areas, please see map on arrival and park as directed. Campervans are only permitted on certain pitches, so please ask where to set up. For safety reasons, members must ensure their camping unit/tent is pitched so that the outside edge is a minimum of six meters from an adjacent unit.

6. Recycling & Rubbish

A condition of camping here is that you recycle your rubbish. That means separating food waste, glass, cans, plastic, paper, cardboard etc. and placing them in the special bins provided. What is left, i.e. only items that are not recyclable, can be placed in the small landfill bin.

7. Badgers and Foxes

Its nice to know you are perhaps only meters from wildlife. However, to prevent any animal from making an easy feast from your food stocks, please try to ensure your food is stored in suitable hard containers and recycle your rubbish in the bins provided. Don’t leave scraps lying around and make sure your tent is zipped up at bedtime.

8. Campfires and Fire Safety

Please only use the designated campfire places and do not enlarge or alter the position of the designated campfire places. Campfires must be supervised by a responsible adult and never left unattended. Please do not place fire pits too close to your tent and do not light a fire if it is too windy. Fires must be fully extinguished before going to sleep. Firewood is available from us; please see Paul. In the event of any dangerous or non-intended fire, there are fire extinguishers and fire bucket with sand on the fear of the stone facilities block, near the farmhouse. Do not attempt to place yourself in danger and call 999/raise help from the farmhouse if in doubt.

9. Consideration for others

This is a peaceful, quiet campsite for the enjoyment of nature. We do not allow radios, stereos or other sound systems and only quiet talking is permitted after 10pm. Acoustic instruments can be played quietly before then, such as guitars etc. Noisy visitors who disturb other guests will be asked politely to leave, without refund (this has never needed to happen). Noise must be kept to a reasonable level at all times and there must be no noise or vehicle movements between 10.00pm and 7.30am

10. Dogs

Dogs are allowed on all pitches. In the Bell Tent Glamping, you must provide a dog cage for them and ensure they do not make the tent dirty/muddy. Please do not allow your dog to mess where children play. Dog mess must be picked up at all times on the site and disposed of in the dog poo bin. Dogs must be kept on a lead of no more than two metres at all times, under their owners personal control and never be left unattended.

11. Smoking

The Bell Tents, facilities and shared/covered areas are strictly NO SMOKING. If you do smoke, please dispose of cigarette ends carefully in a bin.

12. The Weather

Being near the coast, this campsite can be subjected to extreme weather conditions. Very strong winds and torrential rain can occur at any time of year, though we are fortunate in that we do not flood. You must ensure that your tent is robust and correctly erected. In some cases we may advise you to move to another pitch. Please note we do not provide a refund because the weather has not worked out, or is not to your liking. Extreme weather is covered in ‘Cancellations by Us’.

13. Property Loss

Pittaford Farm Camping cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen property. We have never had an incidence of theft and we very much hope we never do.
